Pureffect was founded with a contrarian belief: that the most precise skincare science was not being made for the climate, lifestyle, and skin types of Southeast Asian women.
Mass-market brands were extending Western formulas eastward. Luxury houses sold through the prestige of European labs. Neither was answering the actual question: what does Asian skin, in tropical heat, actually need?
Singapore is one of Asia's most rigorous scientific hubs, with deep biotech infrastructure and access to Southeast Asia's botanical wealth. We chose it deliberately.
